My name is Ilya Egorov. I am 29 years old and I live in Moscow, Russia. I have DVS (Degenerative Vitreous Syndrome - the floaters) in my both eyes, since I was
25. And I have to admit, that in my case it is quite rapidly progressioning. I see new floaters appearing at least once a month or two. The spots are so huge,
so everytime when they're coming close to the front of my retina I have to shake my head for they'd fly away, because they block all of the region of
my vision. At least it seems so.
I am the member of the Russian DVS society "Mushek.NET" which is has more than one thousand registered active members - people, that suffering of DVS
and seeking for treatment.
In comparison with USA, in my region there is no YAG-laser specialists at all, unfortunatelly. There is no FOV also. Nevertheless, we all looking forward to
find the solution that could help us.
By the way, this forum is very similar to ours, very much alike - I see the same problems, the same thoughts, the same amotions and fears, the same talks
around the DVS and so on. My friend from Brazil once told me, that people are alike everywhere... Now I see he was right about that.
